| Bottoms (or 'Butt... Is It Art?') Like most of the really important philosophical concepts in life the ancient Greeks had a word for it; callipygian (pronounced 'kal-uh-PIDGE-ee-uhn' to the best of my knowledge and ability to reproduce it here) meaning "...having well shaped or finely developed buttocks". The first photo I ever posted online was from this series and it's a subject near and dear to my <er>... heart. Until I saw the photos by Trevor Watson (http://www.twphoto.u-net.com) on the '365 Days of Bottoms' calendar (The Ink Group '99) I thought I had the best collection around, but now I'm honored to concede the point and claim title to being only second best. Still, with hard work and dedication I hope to catch up one day. I mean, that man has some truly inspiring butt shots <ahem>... I mean fine art figure studies wherein beautiful buttocks of every description are prominently featured. Yeah! Backstage I'll have a hundred or so more samples... I WANT A BOTTOMS CALENDAR TOO!!! Plus over the years I've shot video as well as stills and now that I've edited my first couple of movies (iMovie is soooo cool) I hope to start work on my magnum opus; ''Behind the Scenes... The Making of Bottoms". Sure to be a classic, the definitive callipygian reference. Meanwhile, with great pride and pleasure, I present to you 'Butt... Is It Art?' Enjoy! |
